BIOGRAPHY
Born in Kansas, raised in St. Louis Park, Minn., and now a Breckenridge, Colo., local, Steve Fisher knows only one speed when riding: fast. His smooth, aggressive style and towering amplitude, and arguably the best backside fives in the world, make "Fish" a favorite at every event he enters. Although always under the radar because of his low-key character, Fisher cranks up the energy for every competition, but it's the BIG ones that bring out his best riding.

UPDATE
Fisher was busy heating things up in 2009 as he busted the season open, finishing second at the U.S. Snowboarding Grand Prix in Copper, Colo. He went on to make his mark on the tour with a Grand Prix win in Boreal, Calif. Fisher opted for a World Cup competition over the final Grand Prix, but the competitor still managed to hit two birds with one stone as he made the World Cup podium with a third in Spain, and still had enough points to tie for overall Grand Prix tour champion with Louie Vito.

FIRST TRACKS
Fisher got started on a halfpipe cut into a former garbage dump in Minnesota when he was 8 years old, but he soon caught the travel bug and went searching for stiffer competition. He eventually caught coach Bud Keene's eye as a forerunner at the 2002 Olympic Winter Games.

OLYMPIC WINTER GAMES/WORLDS
2007 Worlds - 7th in halfpipe
2005 Worlds - 16th in halfpipe
2003 Worlds - bronze in halfpipe
